Richardson recognizes the many benefits that the Vital Brooklyn Initiative can bring to Central Brooklyn, through the implementation of affordable housing, spurring economic growth, addressing health issues, instituting community-based violence prevention, increasing the availability of healthy food, increasing resiliency, and ensuring comprehensive education and youth development.
Richardson is passionate about emphasizing education equity regardless of class, race or economic standing. She understands that there is deep education inequality for low income and minority students, and has made it her mission to address educational disparities affecting the community.
Richardson recognizes that protecting and building affordable housing units is paramount to ensuring that there is affordability for all New Yorker’s and that our working poor and middle-class residents continue to thrive, amidst soaring rents and unfair housing practices.
Richardson understands that small businesses provide invaluable contributions to the growth and vitality of our community, particularly speaking to economic and socioeconomic development.

Richardson understands the importance of the Bedford Union Armory presents to the community, in ensuring that everyone has real affordability. She also understands that this city-owned land can contribute to the leering housing issues and lack of youth activity space, in the 43rd Assembly District and beyond.
Richardson serves as a huge proponent of anti-gun violence issues and utilizes strategic community engagement and effective policy advocacy to ensure the safety of our community.
