The 43rd Assembly District
The 43rd Assembly District is a cultural melting pot which encompasses a wide array of families from across the world. This bustling community incorporates Central Brooklyn, Crown Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Wingate and East Flatbush. Although our neighborhood is divided by invisible lines, we remain a unified entity.
This district is home to various cultures, religions, foods, languages connected through shared values. It also includes some of New York’s major institutions including: Medgar Evers College, New York City, Health & Hospitals/Kings County, in addition to scores of public Schools and the Jewish Children’s Museum. These institutions have helped stitch together each member of the district, from various neighborhoods into ONE family.
My vision is to help build a community where we maintain equity in education, increased affordable housing, increase small business support, strengthen community safety measures for the enhancement of our community.
My plan is to continue to work to bridge the divide between resources, the dissemination of resources and access to resources in the community. In addition I will continue to address community issues with effective legislative action, while forging crucial connections for and within the community.
In order to continue in the improvement of our community, it is important that we set a “call to action” into motion, consisting of all Neighborhood Ambassadors, Volunteers, Local Leaders, and Community Watchdogs, because collectively, we can make this community better. Now is the time to get Civic Minded.
We’re always looking for the community’s support to help push our campaign further than we could ever imagine. Does that sound like you? Volunteer today and be a part of change.
